The nature of Bangladesh takes a unique form during the monsoon. Pabna is not exceptional from this. We know there are a vast number of rivers, fens and canals that are located in Pabna. Padma, Jamuna, Ichhamati, Gajnar bil as well as the Chalanbil. Among these Chalanbil is the largest natural fen in Bangladesh. The beauty of Pabna district during monsoons is mainly observed around these rivers or canals.
The following places are most significant among them.
- Baunjani Rail bridge,Dilpashar Bil: Dilpashar bil is a fen, which is located in the subdistrict Bhangura. Actually it’s a part of Chalanbil. The scenery of the fen is pretty beautiful. The rail-bridge on it makes this more eye-soothing..
- Gajnar bil: Gajnar bil is the most significant spectacular point in the subdistrict Sujanagar. A narrow road divides the fen. If you go there and stay on the road, you’ll notice the infinite water on both sides of the road within your sight.
You’ll also enjoy the fishing of the fishermen on the small boats. Millions of known and unknown birds visit the fen everyday. Some of the birds are flying over the fen and some are floating in the air you’ll see. If you visit here during the morning time, you can buy the fresh fishes of Gajnar bil. If you’re a nature lover, you can easily spend a whole day here during monsoon. - Khoyran Bridge: The Khoyran bridge is located on the “Gajnar bil” in the village Khoyran. It is a bow shaped bridge with a beautiful structure and it looks more beautiful in the rainy season, when the fen becomes fulfilled with water. A huge number of spectators come here to enjoy the nature here. People also enjoy swimming as well as riding boats under the bridge.
- Hardinge bridge: The bridge connects two districts and two divisions indeed. Pabna-Kushtia as districts and Khulna-Rajshahi as divisions are connected by the bridge. It is the largest rail bridge in Bangladesh. In monsoon when the river Padma gets back it’s own form, the bridge also gets back it’s own beauty. Many a man visit here in order to enjoy the monsoon.
- Hatgram golden beach: The golden beach of hatgram is located between the subdistricts Bhangura and Faridpur in Pabna. It is also known as the local cox’s bazar here. Actually it is the shore of Barabila fen. Barabila is actually a part of Chalanbil, the largest fen of Bangladesh. The crashing of the waves provide the vibes of Kuakata or Cox’s Bazar among the spectators. It’s the reason the shore is considered as an alternative of Cox’s Bazar to the local people. A large raft is made here with Banana trees, so that people can arrive on it.
- The Padma shore of Satbaria: The road beside the river and the filled water of Padma will provide you the alternative vibes of the Marinedrive of Cox’s Bazar as well. You can also enjoy the Kanchan park that’s located next to the shore.
- Bera Port: Bera port is also a river sided spectacular point. If you are a bird lover, you should visit here. Many types of immigrant and the migratory birds fly over the port. People come here to enjoy this.
8. Nagarbari Ghat: Imagine the goods have arrived by the ships. I’m not talking about the historic merchants. I’m talking about the Cargo ships of Nagarbari Ghat. The unloading of the ships also can be enjoyed.
9. Padma-Jamuna estuary point: Have you ever been Itna-Mithamoin-Ashtagram? If the answer is no, then you have no need to visit Kishoreganj by spending a lot of money. You can feel the same vibe from your own area indeed. The estuary of the river Padma and Jamuna can be seen in Dhalarchor. The exact location is “Aminpur Thana, Dhalarchor Union, Kashim-mor,area.Standing here you look over the sky, you’ll feel that the clouds are coming towards you floating in the air.
- Shilaidah Ghat: The river ghaut is considered as the connecting point of Kushtia and Pabna district. The ghaut has a huge number of memories with the Universal poet Rabindranath Tagore. The fried Hilsha of Shilaidah-ghat is renowned all over the district.
